Ever since I first purchased my RedEye I have had a recurring problem. About once a day or once every two days the RedEye goes to sleep it seems or something like that and when I try to start the application on my Android device, it will not connect/wake up the RedEye.
This seems to only happen when the application has been previously loaded and I'm just waking it up on my android device. That is - the application is in my task list. My work around is to kill the application using the task manager built in to Android and then restart the application. That usually causes it to connect to RedEey.
I'm running the software on two different version of Android.
Is it possible that you launch the app and leave it running in the background on the device and then leave and come back onto your network the Redeye is on? Also when this happens have you tried connecting to the Redeye via a web browser to see if you are able to connect?
The application is likely running the background. As I said, it only happens when I leave it in the task list. It will happen sometimes with stuff running if I don't touch the app for a while.
As far as hitting the RedEye with the browser, I've had random luck. It's not clear to me that the browser actually wakes the device up. And even still it can take an inordinate amount of time to load the page.
I have read about the xml needing time to load and blah blah... but seriously... it takes too long. Thinkflood should hire me to work on the software. :-)
