There appears to be a mismatch between the embedded version as recognized by the app and the one which the app installs. Those who installed 2.8.0 won't get see any updates or message popups. But those who never installed 2.8.0 will get an update and also see this message. It will say that your RedEye is running a later version than your iOS device.
Here is a patch file to get rid of the messages. You'll need to install this via the "Upload Patch" link on the maintenance page of the browser App. To get to that page, first make sure your computer is on the same network as the RedEye device. Then, from a browser:
FOR PC: Type in: IPaddress/setup/maintenance.html (replacing "IPaddress" with the IP of your unit. To find this, download Flame---a free App by Tom Insam----and open it while your iOS device is on the same network as the RedEye. Then, your unit should pop up with its serial number and IP. Write down the IP and use it in that URL).
