As you probably know, there are around 350 different Android devices out there. In order to keep track with the beta program, we'd like to get an idea of which devices the application is working with and which it isn't. If the application is NOT compatible with your device, this is where you should post your make and model, carrier, and OS version.
Note: when we say not compatible, we mean that the application is unusable. If the App is functional but has some minor bugs, those should be reported in the main part of the Android forum, but your model would be filed under "compatible" and would not go in this thread. (Note: the sticky for the compatible thread is here: http://forums.thinkflood.com/topic/compatible-devices-running-list ).
Important note: If your carrier will not allow you to check the "unknown sources" box to allow you to download non-market applications, this doesn't make your device incompatible. It simply means you can't try to test this until the marketplace release because of your carrier.
You'll all be able to see the running list from all users in this thread. If your phone/tablet is already listed, please don't list it a second time.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 with (stock) Android 2.2.1 (FROYO.XWJS5). Operator: T-Mobile NL.
Sometimes the screen goes black after selecting an activity and buttons will not appear, but most of the time the activity buttons will show up after a while (even though my phone vibrates in between). However, after pressing such a button within the activity, the phone vibrates again and the application crashes with the messages "The application RedEye (process com.thinkflood.redeye) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
With RedEye Beta 0.2 (tested with beta 0.1 before), things seem to get better! Some quick tests show that the app does not crash anymore. Overall, it's working fine now.
Only thing left for me now is that some key presses (like volume up/down) are sent to the device for too long, causing a huge increase in volume with only a single click (I don't have this issue with when using my iPad on the same RedEye device).
