As you probably know, there are around 350 different Android devices out there. In order to keep track with the beta program, we'd like to get an idea of which devices the application is working with and which it isn't. If the application is compatible with your device, this is where you should post your make and model, carrier, and OS version.
Note: when we say compatible, we mean that the application is functional. Minor bugs can happen, and those should be reported in the main part of the Android forum. If the application is unusable, that would be filed under the "incompatible" category, and would not go in this thread. (That sticky thread is here: http://forums.thinkflood.com/topic/incompatible-devices-running-list )
You'll all be able to see the running list from all users in this thread. If your phone/tablet is already listed, please don't list it a second time.
Pleased to say the RedEye Wifi device is installed and running now I am able to use the
RedEye app to control my home entertainment kit which includes TV, A/V
Receiver, DVD Changers, Freeview box, Projector, Playstation 3 (via
Logic 3 dongle), Projector Screen. I've even managed to get it
to control my lighting dimmer switch
Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 with (stock) Android 2.2.1 (FROYO.XWJS5). Operator: T-Mobile NL. RedEye 2.6.
Only volume up/down and cursor buttons are being sent to the device for too long, making it hard to scroll through menus or changing volume. I don't have this issue when using my iPad to control the same RedEye device.
Woking perfect on Acer Iconia Tablet running Android 3.1. Also works perfect on HTC HD2 running Android. The only issue is that you have to manually add via ip address. Please hurry and add the tv guide. I can hardly wait. The Samsung Galaxy S via T-Mobile also works.
0.2 and 0.3 beta working on Viewsonic Gtablet, Android 2.2, (Modified Rom, Brilliant Corners). Only obvious issue found at the moment is 0.2 runs with small remote soft buttons, and only cover the center of the screen, leaving much of the screen blank. 0.3 covers the whole screen which is good, but the basic buttons already use up the whole screen which means any additional ones will be at the lower edge of the screen and you need to scroll up. I've already used small buttons during setup with an Ipad, so must be a screen layout issue with the android tablet that I am using.
Force Close after initial install when accessing activities for first time but I just waited and then everything loaded correctly.
Channel guide not showing all channels. Listings stop at 830, should go though 993. Not an issue for iOS app selecting same provider Comcast Digital Alexandria VA 22304.
Images in activity layouts don't update after action. For example I have a scripted image button that changes the aspect of my TV from 16:9 to Zoom and vise verse. So if the TV current state is 16:9 it should show an image to Zoom and vise verse. This is not an issue with the iOS app running on my iTouch.
Switching activities shows black/blank screen for several seconds (about 10) with no indication the app is working on loading the activity. So, it appears that the app is not responding.
